With the start of the track “It’s You” (top fifty UK hit) I really thought we were delving into Diana Ross/Supremes’ “Someday We’ll Be Together”. But no, it’s another compelling track from The Manhattans, formed in 1962 in Jersey City, New Jersey. They first recorded for Piney Records, when the membership was George “Smitty” Smith, Winfred “Blue” Lovett, Edward “Sonny” Bivins, Richard Taylor and Kenneth “Wally” Kelly.
